About the company
About the CEO
As the CEO and founder of Gentle Care Support Services, my name is Ebony Hurst. My upbringing in South West Detroit (Delray) by my grandmother taught me the importance of compassion and community service. She inspired me to become a better person through her selfless care for our family and the less fortunate. My journey in healthcare began with various roles, including direct care staff in a group home, job coaching, job development, and managing group homes. I also acquired certifications as a nursing assistant and home health aid. With over 1,000 hours of volunteer work through Focus Hope and other community agencies, I am a Culture of Gentleness instructor through Community Living Services. After starting a family and taking an 8-year hiatus, I am now reviving my dream of providing top-notch care through Gentle Care Support Services. Our first group home, The Patterson's Home, is located in Metro Detroit area and named in memory of my grandmother.
